"Portrait of Power"

900, a Spokane, Portland and Seattle Z-6 class 4-6-6-6 Challenger steam locomotive, was built in the 1936 -1937 time frame. They were fitted with 69" drivers, 23" x 32" cylinders, carried a boiler pressure of 250 lbs., and produced a tractive effort of 104,500 lbs. Complete with tender, the 900 weighed 1,039,600 lbs.
