"Rest Stop" |
| When I accepted a position with Sundstrand Corporation in 1987, the company paid to move my family and belongings to San Diego. The moving company chosen was Atlas Van Lines, and Mr. Randy Smith and crew arrived with his truck to pack and move us. Mr. Smith took great care in packaging and moving our belongings, and took extra care to package my lithographs and paintings. Everything arrived at our new residence in San Diego in perfect condition. |

Original Painting 20" x 30" - Acrylic on Canvas |
| Mr. Smith asked if I could do a painting of his truck, and the size and setting were agreed upon. In talking to him, it was very apparent he took great pride in his truck and wanted a painting of it for his home. The setting is a truck stop in the Sierra Nevada Mountains after a snowstorm. Soon Mr. Smith will shut down his truck for the night and walk through the mountain snow to the lodge, where a hot meal and warm bed await him. |
