| “Old Crow,” 414450 (B6 S) (specifications) was flown by Colonel C. E. “Bud” Anderson, when he was assigned to the 363rd Fighter Squadron, 357th Fighter Group, also known as the “Yoxford Boys”. He flew 116 combat missions and destroyed 16-1/4 enemy fighters in aerial combat and one on the ground. He also flew combat missions in Southeast Asia as Commander of the 355th Tactical Fighter Wing, and he is a veteran military experimental test pilot. He was decorated 26 times, including 2 Legion of Merits, 5 Distinguished Flying Crosses, the Bronze Star, 16 Air medals, the French Legion of Honor, and the French Croix de Guerre. | ||

3. Silver paint added, then panel lines. B6 S added to the side of the fuselage, 414450 was then added to the tail section. Air-to-air victories added, signed by artist. Note: No antenna wire and no white invasion stripe were added between the trailing edge of the wing and the black invasion stripe under the star insignia. This was done per Col. Anderson’s comments regarding the first Old Crow study. The correct air-to-air insignias were painted on the side. |
