"P-40 Warhawk - Dick Rossi #18"

 
P-40 Warhawk “Flying Tiger #18” (specifications) was the primary aircraft flown by Flight Leader Dick Rossi on many of his combat missions. He is an Ace with 6-1/4 confirmed air-to-air victories. He was assigned to the American Volunteer Group (AVG) First Pursuit Squadron; know as “Adam and Eve”. When the AVG, also known as the “Flying Tigers”, was disbanded in 1942, Dick Rossi joined the China National Aviation Corporation, and flew over 735 missions between India and China. He has served as president of the American Volunteer Group Flying Tigers Association for over fifty-five years and is a member of the American Fighter Aces Association.
