"P-40 Warhawk - Dick Rossi #5" | ||
| P-40 Flying Tiger #5 (specifications) was assigned to Ace Charles Bond, who retired from the United States Air Force as a Major General. He was credited with seven air-to-air victories. Dick Rossi flew aircraft number 5 on a combat mission, only to return after the mission with a number of bullet holes in the plane. The news of the damage to aircraft number 5 didn’t make Charles Bond very happy. The painting is now part of the private collection of the artist. | ||
